The ICT (Information and Communications Technology) industry in the Saint John area of New Brunswick currently includes between 60 and 80 companies and growing. There is a broad range of opportunities in the local sector and a dynamic environment of partnership and support within the industry making Saint John an ideal location to start an ICT business.

In October 2006 propelsj surveyed New Brunswick ICT companies to determine specifically what positions they will need to hire for in the next 2 and 5 years. Based on the survey, over 1300 positions will be created and needed to be filled in the next 5 years in Saint John alone with the companies already in existence here. This does not take into account the fast pace of new business development and, based on last count, launch32 companies alone have created over 300 positions within the 16 new companies formed since the campaign began in late 2004.
