The first annual ECE Research Expo will be held on Thursday October 2, 2008 at the Wu Conference Centre on the UNB Campus in Fredericton. The purpose of the Expo is to create an awareness of the leading edge research conducted within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the R&D interests of industry practitioners, and to explore opportunities for collaboration. The Expo will feature speakers from UNB and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering as well as invited presentations. There will also be interactive and poster presentations with hands-on computer simulations and demonstrations.
As a researcher or practitioner you are invited to present your results and experiences as well as opportunities for R&D collaborations.
The Expo will cover a broad range of topics relevant to industrial applications including photonics and electromagnetics, signal processing and biomedical engineering, power converters for renewable energy generation systems, robotics and control systems, communication systems, electronics and computer engineering, and software engineering.
Held in cooperation with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Expo brings together people with an interest in the fields of Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering.
