The NBSC is the provincial securities industry regulator. The Commission works on a two point mandate of:

- educating and regulating the investment industry,
- fostering the province's capital markets.

Through the Commission's Fullsail initiative and our education initiative "Learning the Ropes", the NBSC is working to develop the private and public equity markets in the province. To succeed this initiative requires the further development of entrepreneurship and private and public investment in the province's entrepreneurs.
